About Us
Our Story
Launched following a road trip featuring visits to music museums from New Orleans to St. Louis, Cleveland and Memphis, Trenton Music Experience is a grass-roots movement to showcase and celebrate our city’s music innovators and influencers -- composers, promoters and performers from opera to hip hop.
Who We Are
Local musicians, artists, and community advocates make up the Trenton Music Experience, a 501c3 nonprofit registered in the state of New Jersey. Our Board of Directors includes Paul Zych, Carey Hamilton and Winifred Howard. We are partnering with Mercer County Community College, and The College of New Jersey, as well as other community and arts groups.
Our Mission
Trenton Music Experience is defying negative stereotypes about our city by amplifying the significant contributions Trentonians have made to the music scene from the American Revolution through today. TME manifests pride in our own city’s homegrown musical talent.
Our Vision
Trenton Music Experience is a catalyst for our city becoming a destination for arts enthusiasts around the world.
Our Project
TME will be an immersive experience bringing Trenton’s music legacy to life, featuring local significant influencers from all musical genres.

More than a museum and more than a concert hall, TME interactive displays will tell the stories of Trenton music influencers through personal memorabilia, career keepsakes and photographs.

Visitors will immerse themselves in the music via recordings, videos and virtual jam sessions with featured musicians. A timeline will allow visitors to trace Trenton’s music influence across the centuries, and see the connections among music genres.

A performance space will provide a venue for current Trenton performers, as well as music education programs.
